Boa® technology originated in the winter sports sector. Brands such as K2 or Vans, popular among snowboarders, were among the first manufacturers to install the system in their boots. Enabling speed & ease of use in tough conditions. The hospitality sector soon came to utilize the system too, using it in aids such as orthoses or even to fix prostheses.

HOW THE BOA® FIT SYSTEM WORKS
The heart of the Boa® Fit System is an easy-to-use mechanism. A quick turn on the micro-dial sends the laces evenly gliding through the low friction lace guides. At the end of the rotation, the user will have achieved the ultimate precision fit in mere seconds. Once set, the closure remains unchanged. Eliminating common annoyances like tightening, accident-prone exposed laces, broken side zips and undoable knots. Making these common irritations a thing of the past.
Taking off the work boot or work shoe is just as easy. The locking system can be opened again by simply pulling the twist-lock with just one hand. Another advantage of the Boa® Fit System is its durability. The bands consist of 49 fine wires made of stainless steel, which is also used in aviation.

The BOA dial is designed for easy operation in any workplace environment. Such as with gloved hands, to dark places, wet conditions, dirt and sand, or adverse environments. The dial allows for micro-adjustment with a stable and controlled grip in wet and variable conditions.
